Type & Signal
Apple platform consulting
Mac management, automation, and secure operational systems for teams responsible for Apple fleets.
Type & Signal helps IT teams make Apple environments easier to operate, safer to change, and less dependent on manual work. The focus is managed fleets and the systems around them: device management, deployment, patching, inventory, security, and the code that connects those systems.
Areas of work
- Mac management architecture: Jamf Pro, JumpCloud, Apple Business Manager, Munki, AutoPkg, enrollment, and deployment workflows
- Automation and integrations: Bash and Python tools, APIs, inventory and asset workflows, and internal utilities
- GitOps and change control: Versioned scripts, pull-request review, CI checks, secret scanning, tested releases, and rollback plans
- Security and patching: Vulnerability-driven patching, credential handling, temporary admin access, and useful audit trails
- Operational improvement: Reviewing fragile or manual processes, troubleshooting failures, and leaving systems documented and maintainable
